Background & History
Fionn served as an apprentice herbalist within the Silverleaf Clan, where his natural affinity for speaking with beasts and plants made him particularly suited for gathering rare ingredients. However, after a romance ended poorly (the details of which he tells differently to every tree he meets), his moping became legendary among the clan. The Grove Elders, in their “infinite wisdom” (and desperate need for peace and quiet), suggested he undertake a “very important spiritual journey” to “strengthen his connection to nature.” In reality, they just needed a break from his constant sighing at the mushrooms.
His fellow adventurers quickly pieced together that this “sacred quest” was the Firbolg equivalent of being told to “get out and see the world until you’re over them.” Fionn, bless his heart, remains earnestly convinced that documenting every plant’s growth patterns and giving relationship advice to squirrels is vital to his spiritual development.

Appearance
A tall, somewhat gangly Firbolg with soft grey-blue skin like morning mist. His hair is a wild, shaggy mop of silver-white that’s tied back with various vines and small wooden beads. Often, there’s a small sparrow nestled in there. His eyes are a deep moss green with flecks of gold, but they often hold a distant, dreamy look. He has a prominent nose and slightly pointed ears that twitch when he’s embarrassed. His broad frame is dressed in well-worn leather and cloth in earth tones, adorned with various pouches filled with herbs and interesting pebbles he’s collected.
