Session Summary
The party continued exploring the mansion after defeating zombies in the chapel. After a long rest, they proceeded through a bloody archway into a throne room filled with frozen skeletons, then encountered hostile gremlins in an antechamber.
Thal’s Journal Entry
Written in precise handwriting, with margin doodles showing frozen skeletons in various poses of court life and gremlins with pointed teeth snarling at the party
The others finally convinced me to walk through a bloody archway - because of course there’s a bloody archway in this place. Strange thing is, it actually made me feel… lucky? Must be losing my mind after all these days in here. Found ourselves in some kind of throne room full of frozen skeletons caught mid-moment - nobles gossiping, servants with empty platters, guards at attention. Like someone snapped their fingers and turned an entire court to bones in an instant.
Selnove and Hawthorne seemed almost giddy after the blood bath, wanting to press on despite my reservations. At least Grok maintained some sense of caution. Now we’re facing off against some nasty little creatures that look ready to take a bite out of us. Between murderous plants, zombie monks, and now these things, this mansion certainly keeps interesting company.
Crew Assessment:
- Combat Capability: Improving coordination, though still prone to rushing in
- Reliability Factor: Declining - blood magic apparently makes them more reckless
- Spiritual State: Ranging from blood-drunk to reasonably cautious
- Sea-Worthiness: Would need serious lessons in avoiding obvious traps
- Notable Moments: Hawthorne mocking frozen noble skeletons, Selnove’s growing fixation with heading east
